High Functioning Depression

by Brent & Sami

High Functioning Depression

I'm flat; like a minor key.
High functioning depression,
Is misery.
I'm heavy; like a whiskey barrel.
Full of memories,
I begin to harrow.
I'm hungry; I haven't eaten in days.
Just too busy.
Pretending through the daze.
I'm lonely; like a lost island.
Surrounded by an ocean of love
Faded into the sand
Guilt feels so soft.
I'm hollow; like a marrowless bone.
Father let me heal
I'm suffering alone.
I'm ripped apart; God stitch me together!
Rejuvenate my heart
Heavenly fire the best weather
I'm healing; chasing away my demons.
I just had to believe.
In one Godly feeling.

Isaiah 41:10
The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."
Deuteronomy 31:8
