Guess Who?

by bonespur

Guess Who?

Hey everybody
Can you tell me the time
It’s time to guess the animals
And we’ll do it with rhyme

Now this first showy animal
Is usually the first one awake
“Cock-a-doodle-doo,” he says
“Wake up for goodness sake

This next porky animal
Can be shown at the fair
“Oink-oink, oink-oink”
A mud puddle is his chair

Now this hooved animal
Gives us something to drink
“Moo-ooo-ooo,” she says
I bet that'll make you think

You can ride this next animal
With a saddle, or without
“Neigh,” she whinnies
Was there ever any doubt?

This cute little feathered animal
Likes to swim with the fish
“quack-quack,” she sounds
Put some corn in my dish

This next frisky animal
Loves to play with a mouse
“Meow-meow,” he says
And he's the boss of the house

Now this next woolly animal
Starred in Little Bo Peep
“Bah-ah,” she says
And my wool don’t come cheap

This last and final animal
Is surely man’s best friend
“woof, woof,” he barks
I’ve got a message to send

I hope you guessed the answers
To this playful animal quiz
And if you got them all right
Well then, you’re an animal whiz!

So the next time you’re just thinking
Imagine all the sounds you know
And the more new sounds you learn
The smarter you will grow.
