Seven Sane Sailors

Seven sailors softly snored, serenely sleeping some September Saturday. Sailing salty seas since summer's start, several shipmates soon started showing strange symptoms. Stevey seldom seemed sane, so Scotty scarcely slept. Sully's sporadic spewing sickened Sparky's strong stomach. Shawny started seeing stuff, sending Sammy's suspicions soaring. Similarly, Sonny spiraled, stability slowly slipping.

Something suddenly startled Scotty's slumber. "Shhhh," Scotty said softly, shaking shipmate Sully. Sully's snores swiftly stopped. Seeing shipmates surfacing sneakily, Sparky silently stalked.

Storm shadows swirled, shrouding silver starry skies. Scotty's ship shook, sending shipmates spinning. "Storm!" screamed Scotty. Sleeping sailors swiftly stood, shivering.

Seething seas suddenly swept, spraying strong salty showers. Something sinister surfaced, shocking shuddering sailors. Sammy stuttered, "S-S-S-SEA SERPENT!!!"

Scared senseless, shipmates scattered. Survival seemed slim, so spirits sank. Scotty stayed strong, securing sails.

"Steer south!" shouted Scotty, seeing sails snap. Summoning strength, Stevey steered. Skirting serpent swipes, Shawny started securing supplies.

Serpent scales sideswiped Scotty's ship, spilling survival supplies. Shawny, struggling, slipped, so supplies sank. Suddenly, Sully spotted spears secretly stashed.

Sailors stood strong, slinging spears steadily. Soon, serpent screeches stopped, signaling success. Shipmates sighed, savoring survival.

Seven starving sailors sat silently, still sulking since Shawny said supper sank. Sonny, smirking, suggested, "Sushi?"

Shipmates simultaneously scarfed surprisingly scrumptious sea serpent sushi. Strange symptoms subsided, seemingly settling silly squabbles.

Soon, seven satisfied sailors smiled, seeing Sunday's sunrise; stomachs stuffed.
