Steadfast And True

You are the great 'I Am'

Your presence is enough

The same yesterday, today and forever.

I am a child, making castles in the sand.

The tide wipes away my effort

But your footprints remain, wet on the land

For you raise me in rain or desert.

Steadfast you are

My protector, my shield

By your grace, I am ever changing

You are my rock, for never do you yield.

Your strength gives me courage to change

It starts with a whisper and ends with a prayer

Transformation your grace arranged

Your wonder and majesty

Spark latent desire

To be all I can in you.

For you are the axis,

I am the planet to your sun

Your light brings me life anew

Because of you, I change,

I grow in your rain

Made way 'cause you're steadfast and true.
