James receives bad news, no longer at ease

His body infected with a terminal disease

He’s a man use to battling business strife

Now he’s to prepare for the end of his life

James always stood strong, a fortress of pride

Now aching and sick, he feels his life slide

Inevitability seeps, raw truth bleeds within

Accepting the reality, there’s no way to win

He faces the mirror, a stranger in his gaze

Hoping there might be a remission stage?

But a softer strength emerges from the gloom

James accepts he’s entered God’s waiting room

James consents his death must come as to every man

He’s now at peace, understanding God’s heavenly plan
