I did not rejoice
At a halting voice
The strongest leader
Now truth’s impeder

Two men on the stage
One with righteous rage
One so strange onstage
To all, showing age

Confused and so dim
All felt sad for him
Could not complete thought
While the other fought

Would he have a stroke?
Do we trust our eyes?
