A poem about my favorite pet

Brandy

Brandy, a black female Labrador was my favorite dog
The best companion anyone would ever want
We felt  such warmth when she was by our side
Rabbits were her favorite animal to  hunt
 
She liked to relax in the yard when it was sunny
Walking was her favorite exercise
There was a special spot for her in our house
Choosing her was very wise
 
Seeing a groundhog turned her into a different dog
This animal brought out her wild instinct
She was terrified of fireworks and lightning
Brandy didn't like the water, afraid she would sink
 
She had a happy rewarding life for 14 years
Brandy was faithful to the end
Vet discovered a tumor and we cried
She will always be our best friend
