Dancing to Hell with the Devil.

Danse Macabre

The Pope,

the Emperor,

the peasant and the tot,

dance with Death on Hallows' Eve. One

Halloween In June writing prompt entry
Writing Prompt
Write a Cinquain poem (2-4-6-8-2) regarding Halloween. It can be about the scary side of the holiday or it can be about the homey side of the holiday.

The medieval tradition of Danse Macabre envisaged the Eve of All Souls as being marked by the living from all walks and ages of life being led by skeletal demons to the portals of Hell. Many of our contemporary Halloween dressing up traditions - for example, guising- may derive from this heritage.
