Worth the Ride
by Wils
The ride came slowly to an end, not soon enough for me. I had to stay seated for a moment jto compose myself. My stomach had been flipped upside down and I could only imagine how green I looked. Scanning the watching crowd I spotted her with an anxious look on her face. I hoped that underneath it would be something of a smile.
My legs felt like jelly as I staggered towards her. Looking deep into her eyes I asked the inevitable question. “Well?”
She smiled cheekily, “Well what?”
“Now will you marry me?”
She was worth the ride.
