Why Does It Exist?

Do you know what I hate? The irrational fear of Muslims and Islam as a whole, otherwise known as Islamophobia. It's the fear that all Muslims are apparently terrorists and are here to launch a terrorist attack on the United States. Like, what? This fear is way too common in American society. Just because the attacks of September 11, 2001 held a few Arabs responsible doesn't mean everyone of the same race or religion is. And being Arab doesn't automatically make you Muslim. There are plenty of Arab Christians and Jews. It's best to do your research before assuming such wild and illogical things. And here's the other thing: Donald Trump, ex-president of the United States, seems to be an avid supporter of Islamophobia and in 2017, requested that foreigners from seven Middle Eastern countries could not even enter the United States. He then brought up the attacks of September 11, 2001 to make his point and follow through with the order. But do you know what's crazy? No one responsible for the attacks in 2001 were from descent of any of the seven countries Trump was trying to ban entry to. He was just fearful that all Muslims and Arabs are terrorists and only want to attack America. Like, really? A common result of such irrational fears is actually violence. Many innocent Muslims are being discriminated against, vandalized, and hated on just because of a few peoples' actions way back in the past. Leave Muslims alone. What did they ever do to you? Islamophobia needs to stop. There needs to be an end to this totally irrational fear somewhere in the near future, because I'm not sure how much longer I can tolerate it. The world is full of haters, but haters who act out on their hate is unacceptable. Let's stand up and put an end to Islamophobia once and for all. Ah, now I feel better.
