The Shot

by Bill Schott

Sam pulled the trigger;

his friend could not even scream --

a bullet pierced his windpipe.

Dave called the police;

his friend Sam had shot himself --

he'd blown his throat wide open.

Sedoka Poem writing prompt entry
Writing Prompt
For this challenge you will write a sedoka.
This is a Japanese form that consists of two unrhymed poems that MAY show the same scene from two different perspectives or angles.
Each one has a syllable count of 5/5/7

Here's an example:

The cat's meowing
Pleads her case convincingly
Hunger gleams in golden eyes

Missus Smith's tutting
Suggests the cat's been eating
Far too much for her own good
