Burt did finish creative writing classes. He did his manuscript but his stories get into the slush pile by editors of traditional publishing houses. He never gets the luck of his lifetime and always struck out. His parents tell him not to worry that his time will come. But he has no hope for himself. Instead, he goes with his friends to a restaurant to forget about the disappointments. 

 

"Aww, don't worry, pal. You're amongst friends now. I also had my share of disappointments. I am still happy no matter what," Andrew says.

 

"I know. I don't think about it today. If it's not for me, I'll do something else," Billy says confidentially. 

 

"That's the spirit! Don't let anything get you down, Billy," Sara says. 

 

"I am here to have fun," Billy says. 

 

"Hooray!" all his friends say. 

 

Billy and his friends go to their separate homes after a day out. Billy opens his door and watches his parents with a letter. He doesn't know what is going on here. They give it to him. He opens it and reads it. The editors of the traditional publishing house have finally accepted his manuscript with a contract to his name. It is surprising news for Billy. He rises and celebrates with his parents with huge hugs. He is finally going to be a professional novelist. Not everyone gets this chance, and it is 3% out of 100% get it. It is an impossible task but he feels he did reach Mount Rushmore. Billy is satisfied. Billy doesn't have to worry anymore. He did accomplish his dream career.
