Dedicated to my sister.

Assurance Reignited

She used to shine so bright.
Even the sun was jealous of her radiance.
A dazzling dance of color, 
She was a rainbow of reassurance after a storm. 
 
She has been beaten down so incessantly.
Does she realize the weapon that has been forged?
She doesn't acknowledge her value.
Tarnished metal,
Cherished silver in need of polishing. 
 
A glowing ember longing for a spark.
She needs to be ignited. 
A Phoenix reborn. 
Her fire ablaze once again. 
 
A beacon for my lost soul to follow.
Guiding me safely into the harbor.
When the storms rage, 
I look for her light. 
 
She is my sister...
