Spiders are a huge fear of mine!

The Spider

Your looming form suddenly shifts as the bright moonlight enlarges  your shadow,
 
I stare, and fear pulsates as my vision warps your presence.
 
then the ominous beast scurries,
 
hanging, dangling,
 
from its deftly spun silver thread.
 
Scrambling to rise, it falls,
 
detaching, racing to hide. 
 
Uneasy I peer,
 
unable to find,
 
the
spider.

Writing Prompt
Write a 10-15 line free verse poem about a phobia you may have. We all have something that very much frightens us. No rhyming patterns.


Spiders are a huge phobia of mine, but I also feel like they fear us just as much.
