About a Father Son relationship

Andy

by Stuart Irving

Not to know a Father's smile

Not to know the man

Never to have been worth his while

Never in his plan

To only know of conversation

help just circumstantial

Hear a voice full of frustration

Problems all financial

Appreciate what has been offered

Aid to fill the bank

Forget the hurt all have suffered

Does that reveal his rank?

Not to know your own heart

Where your Father’s placed

After such a unforgiving start

Which still leaves a bitter taste
