Charlie and I were a thing. Once.
We met at the Bar Royale.
I felt music in my heart anytime we touched. Loved.
Before the accident.
How could he ever desire a woman without her feet?
I return to that bar each night, drowning in my misery.
My only friend is Edna, blind since birth.
Every now and then, I see Charlie peering at me, from the corner, with that dreadful stare. The look that pierces my heart like a thousand blades.
Edna holds my hand, granting me strength to get through another moment.
If only I had her eyes.
