For the Journal Drabble contest.
Final Entry
by hullabaloo22
It’s easy to say we should have listened.
So easy and far too late.
The sky is raining fire and huge blocks of debris. I’d watched the images on the television – all channels full of hysteria and panic, before disappearing to leave nothing but blank screens.
It’s heading our way. We could try to outrun it but there’s nowhere... This inferno of fire and water will sweep across the globe and only those that listened at the start are in with a chance of survival.
The conspiracy theorists we called crackpots.
If only we’d had the sense to listen.
