Her Body

her body white hills and verdant valleys her thighs a path to deep caverns sanctuary for wary bones she is my world my Queen my Goddess my Lady of the Lake my farmer’s body is rough and worn working the arable soil tenderly tending to seeds
I love her mysterious ways

The Lady of the Lake (poem is not about her, I just use her name on one line) is the name of a fairy-like human enchantress in medieval literature and mythology associated with the legend of King Arthur.
