Remnants Of Time

by PoeticXscape

I tick as you tock.
As the hands weigh heavy on the clock.
I would recall such a moment as that.
Were it not for the undeniable fact.
These are remnants of time.

The hourglass is cracking.
When ambition is lacking.
And through those lines, the grains will sift.
As a lighter force begins to lift.
Through the remnants of time.

Circling a frozen face.
Staring back with zero haste,
I'd go back if I could change the past.
But even memories cannot last.
By the remnants of time.
