The Break Up

by Raul1

The door slammed, echoing down the long hall. Carl shivered while almost losing his nerves thought someone arguing. He wondered who made those loud noises with that door. Maybe it is between a couple who wanted to breakup their relationship. Carl went outside, it came expected, and it was true what he saw. He was witnessing not just a breakup but a wife asked for a divorce. She found out that Hill cheated on her three times and had an affair with another woman. She wants the rights of her children but her husband wants them too. It was Hill's wife who slammed the door and gave out a stormed yell.

The wife left with her children, while Hill cried for he was losing his siblings. Carl has witnessed the whole fight and so did the strangers. He went inside the building which he never comfort Hill because he thought it would have started a riot between them. Instead, he never talked about it and went to the event of novelist's convention book signings. Carl thought that the couple will go to divorce court deciding who gets to be with the children. But he decided not to attend there because they neve knew him at all. So, he kept it inside as a secret and he told nobody about it.
