A 100 word flash fiction for your entertainment
A Night To Remember
by Jerome Goldberg
Joseph limped through the rain across the slippery wet street and quietly entered the warm tavern. Unnoticed, he made his way to the bar and ordered an Irish whiskey. He took his drink and sat by himself in a small dark booth by the door.
Moments later, a stunning woman came in and hung her soaking wet trench coat on a hook. She wore tight black slacks and an even tighter green sweater. She too had an Irish whiskey and sat down next to Joseph.
She leaned in close and said, “Aren’t you glad that, when it rains, he pours!”
