John What is Truth

by Terry Reilly

The author has placed a warning on this post for sexual content.

John What had admirers galore

Queuing for hours by his door.

Those fiery misses

Blew him hot kisses

And offered him oh so much more.

John What wore his cap at a tilt

His cocksuredness never would wilt

The damsels would woo him

They wanted to ….. him

And please what lay under his kilt.

But John What wasn't just a young buck

Hoping to score a cheap ....

A champion of Truth

He bared a sharp tooth

At shysters whose falsehoods would suck.

John What never made an excuse

For condemning the thing called "fake news".

He said "I must feel,

That we have the real deal

For lying's a form of abuse."

John What was a brave-hearted youth

The lassies thought he was so couth

They pointed him out

As he swaggered about

Saying  “There's  John… well, ain’t that the Truth!”.

What is Truth writing prompt entry
Writing Prompt
Truth Media is going public! (The stock ticker will be DJT). Write a rhyming poem about it.

Yes, this is an opportunity to get political. Or, to explore hidden meanings in the contest title.

Poetry only and your poem must include a rhyming schematic.

An attempt to look beyond the obvious and, with luck, raise a smile or two. It is a bit naughty so apologies to those who prefer their verse less earthy.
Pays one point and 2 member cents.
