A sonnet about the eclipse on the ocean

Blood Moon On The Rise

by Miranda Langston

Upon the ocean's vast and timeless stage,

Where moon and tide in harmony entwine,

A wondrous scene unfolds, a mystic page,

As lunar orb in shadow starts to shine.

The sky, a canvas painted dark and deep,

With stars that twinkle in the velvet night,

Yet as the moon begins its gentle creep,

A hush descends, a quiet, soft delight.

The waves, like whispers on the shore, confess

The magic of this lunar rendezvous,

Their rhythmic dance a tender, sweet caress,

As moonlight weaves a spell, both old and new.

In shadow's grasp, the moon's ethereal grace,

A lunar eclipse, a cosmic embrace.
