King Otto

I remember Otto

He showed up one day

Strolling through the courtyard

Then he deemed to stay

Moved in with my neighbors

At Apartment Four

He would often greet me

Waiting at the door

There were cocktail parties

Friday nights at eight

Otto had his catnip

It was simply great

All the other cats knew

They felt jealousy

Otto was the top cat

Of this dynasty

Otto owned that building

He presided there

High up in the window

Such a grand affair

Peter he drew comics

Tina designed clothes

Otto he did nothing

Everybody knows

In Apartment Four

Otto ruled the scene

With a nonchalance

This side of obscene

Master of the house

Cats they are the King

We are but a mouse

They are everything
