Behind hiding kaleidoscope,
I search for distant land,
Where scattered dream catchers
Protect crests of discontent.

Crawling through holes in large
Downed oaks, hopping on fallen
Birches. Caught in a frightening
Lightening storm foretelling a
Torrential downpour.

Sitting very still, merging to the
North, and then to East, sucked
Into a paralyzing whirlwind,
Like stuck in a well deep.

Climbing out of that
Claustrophobic well, feeling welcome
Freedom, crying joy, bringing me
Back to your floating carpet of whimsy.
