When darkness falls in a neighborhood.

Nighttime

Moonlight spills, winds whisper

Sky blinking, winks of bright

Owls hoot from veiled trees

Fireflies glow and whirl in flight

Crickets hum their courting song

Nighttime in full bloom, silence sinks in

People in bed, somnolent slumber

Mysteries blossom in sleeping senses

Hush now, the world in God’s keep
