I lay

Down in my basement

by Mark Ness

Down in my basement thinking bout last night

Mother yells down you ready to eat?' All she could see was a pair of feet

Cause I'm laying on the floor

Saying to myself I ain't gonna drink no more

"No" I reply, just let this boring day go by Minutes change to hours, and hours fly by This is the life of a very high guy I've got the Sunday morning blues a result of Saturday night's booze

My hands are shaking, my face is flaking My stomach is knotting, my liver is rotting

I'm such old mold now

I wish I was new
