A tale of how a sunset blessed me.

The Red Sky Of Peace

by Claire Tennant

Almost at day’s end

my silent friend

speaks volumes in her wake

there is no mistake

the clouds are orange-pink

the Norfolk pine like ink

I am at peace

--------------------------

I asked the Lord to speak

for I felt weak

a silent speech

He knows how to preach

the blessing from the sky

bid the pain goodbye

------------------------------

Once again, the sun has set

red hues a silhouette

peace floods over me again

sunsets like a mother hen

bring memories of that hour

fears silenced by His power
