Living By Faith

Safe In His Sheltering Arms

by jim vecchio

My Faith Contest Winner

My eyes open, I walk as if blind
I walk by my faith, not by my sight
By those things unseen am I defined
For God directs my paths by His might

Christ dwells in my heart, Faith tells me so
But love now must guide my earthly path
With God all’s possible, this I know
I desire His love and not His wrath

I believe God’s Word, I’ve proved Him often
I am so weak, I need His great strength
His love extends beyond the coffin
And it will guide me through all life’s length

When He walked the earth, the blind did see
He healed the feeble, made them strong
Faith gave them vic’try and still guides me
He owns my praise and gave me a song

A song that I will sing to my end
He had mercy and claimed my lost soul
Life without faith, I shall never spend
When I was broken, He made me whole
