If it's flooded, forget it

Even the Animals

by Aussie

Tears flow from the residents
Lost everything in flowing water
Build and rebuild, still the rains
Monsoon tears, mighty fears
Animals climb trees, crocodiles
A meal waiting to be taken
Man rescues a Kangaroo
Heart of our country
When will the rains cease?
Snakes can swim, not so sheep
Wooly coat drags them under
Cattle look for patchy highland
Man cuddles Kangaroo feeling
Life beating above the floods
