There was a girl ...
Once Upon a Time
by Tom Horonzy
A long time ago, I found a girl with long brown curls who opened my world to love another other than my mother.
The way she talked and walked made me feel she was the bouncing ball that accented cartoon songs from the fifties and sixties.
Even today, I find myself swaying to the music played many moons ago in remembrance of the girl with long brown curls who opened my heart to share myself even though she never reciprocated.

The essence of this flash fiction isn't fictitious, but me being the boy toy in the story is a stretch I firmly enjoyed.
The picture is my own, of a young lass at a church picnic outing that is aporpos since the girl with the long brown curls was who the main character had a crush on.
