My Ode (a sonnet)

My ode today I'll craft in precious bliss,
a moment that the watchers oversee.
So rare the times I have to share like this.
Unshackled are the snares that tether me.

What pain's endured when bound by its unjust
and sorrowed tears so softly trace my skin.
I often question those that I entrust,
that so abuse the rule they hold therein.

But joyous are the gems this day provides
allowing me to craft what's in my heart.
My ode is for the days the king decides
to let me share my hopes and dreams through art.

I must admit, my loyalty decays...
when prompts still say, "No wins for thirty days."
