Part 2 Lapland

A Happy Ending

by Aussie

Weak sunlight woke the pair
Pair in love, Santa and lonely Maeve
Maeve, lady of loneliness no more
More she looked the more she did rave

Rave about her rosy cheeks, golden hair
Hair in ringlets, cascading gold
Gold had sprung to life in her face
Face filled with love for Santa so old

Old Santa chuckled at Maeve's surprise
Surprise, no longer aging, pining for love
Love had landed in her lap, broken the roof
Roof of despair found love from above

Above the reindeer were sleeping
Sleeping, waiting for Santa's run
Run with gifts for everyone
Everyone, Christmas Day having fun

Fun was late, sleigh almost on the way
Way of love, Maeve dressed in red
Red suits, black boots, happy pair
Pair in love flew away by Prancer led

Led by Prancer and Rudolph pulling hard
Hard they crossed the deep blue sky
Sky above, houses below, Santa and Maeve
Maeve and Santa with huge gleams in their eye

This is a Loop poem ABCB. You asked and I have written a happy ending for the old lady who was made immortal by Santa. Mr. Mrs. Santa is forever in love.
