The pain of redemption

Redemption Mode

I feel like I'm in the hospital of my soul
Forever tired
With no desire
Without fire
With nothing that inspires
Walking a tight rope wire

Words change to numbers and colors in flight
Orbiting my mind
Then out of sight
Emotions take hold of my plight
That's not right

In a circle this battle rattles on
Once upon, once upon, once upon
Then all disappears
It's now gone
That's just wrong

Are sins the extent of me
They won't let me be
I'm drowning in an endless sea
Gasping, grasping to be free

It's like a disease

Yet, still my heart beats
I draw a breath
There's a faint smile on my lips
A little love lingers
Dreams of redemption persevere
