Fear panic hatred of blood

Never Say Never

A schoolmate in a panic feeling very sick
runs out of the classroom
concern runs fast and thick
not from this quarter though
frightened I face the curse
I might be brilliant one day but
I will never be a nurse

if memory serves correctly
I played games with a friend
all very happy, but all pretend
then I faced surgery
no game, but what was worse
the adventure made me determined
I will never be a nurse

I see others handle sickness calmly
alas I'm too old to learn
though of necessity
I've had to take my turn
Wrinkled now with the fear curse
I think you get the message
I will NEVER be a nurse
