The coldest time of day
The Temperature Of Earth
by Kristen Rose Ulrich
An interesting fact that I learned in Earth Science in high school is about Earth's temperature. When do you think the coldest time of day is? The answer is 6:00 AM. This is because the Earth is always giving off radiation just like the sun is. However, when the sun goes down in the evening, the Earth is giving off radiation without getting any back from the sun. This leaves the Earth colder than it is in late morning and early afternoon. I have always found this fact to be interesting so I thought I would share it. Thank you for reading!
