In the Dark and the Quiet

In the dark and the quiet of our little home,

I steal away quickly to a place, all alone.

Where it's just me and God, my Bible and pen,

I seek Him and find Him and tell Him my sin.

He doesn't convict me, but calls me by name

and says,"I forgive you. I've taken the blame.

The cross that I carried, God planned from the start,

to make you a way to have a pure heart."

Thank you, dear Jesus for all that you've done.

I owe you so much for Your victory won.

So here in the dark and the quiet, I vow

to serve You forever, the best I know how.
