The dreaded lurgy.

Get A Life

The life of a germ is too much to contemplate
after all it is not master of its fate
now I'm no expert in science or biology
and this might sound at best twee
there is a lot of them in society

The air we breathe is full of them
often sent to cause mayhem
right now I feel a little morbid
the germs here are named COVID
I cleaned the house I truly did!

Without a word the little devils spread
now there is pain in my head
and my darling actually swore
he is a good boy at the core
of tension we need no more

Well I can't change what nature brought
of illness we have either won or fought
I guess we just wonder why
it COVID could not pass us by
I might give positive thinking a try
