She couldn't blame me ............

I Shouldn't have kissed you..

by Enrico Langfordino

I shouldn't have kissed you
too late I know,
to think of what might have been
years ago.

But a kiss at the time
seemed the right thing to do,
a kiss at the time
engineered by you.

I suppose, had I not kissed you
heavens above,
would have sent me another
young angel to love.

But you were the first
pure soul I would share,
my life and my dreams with
in this lifelong affair.

I shouldn't have kissed you
if I'd wanted to be,
like a bird in the sky
so careless and free.

But I did, and I will,
for as long as you'll show,
your willingness that
our love affair grow.

I shouldn't have kissed you
though I'm happy I did,
now all that I have
for your love I will bit.......2pp

Do you remember that first kiss, and how you couldn't stop yourself ?!
