The Mouse That Made It Happen.

Otto lived backstage at the Acadia Theater. He had a dream -  to be an elephant. The other mice laughed as he squeaked, trying to trumpet like an elephant and spray imaginary water from his trunk. In his heart, he knew there was a mix-up with the storks.

Rummaging backstage, he found a Dumbo costume. It was big; he didn’t care. He was going to live his dream. He put it on and marched out onto the sidewalk. People laughed.

 Children were playing in a park. A little girl ran up to Otto and hugged his leg. "You're the cutest elephant ever!" she exclaimed. The others agreed. They touched Otto's big floppy ears and his long trunk. They didn't care that he was a mouse in costume. They just saw an elephant who made them happy.

Otto's heart swelled with pride. He was an elephant who brought pleasure to others.
