My Spirit says Yes!

Ever since I was born, I knew I was different.

Have a mother who also been belligerent.

Drives us away from family and changes our plan.

As a young girl I truly didn’t understand.

As went by and life was met with grief.

I soon follow myself holding on to my belief.

The lord guided me in so many ways.

As I grew wise and older.

People seemed to become cruel and colder.

Is it me? I thought to myself.

I’m neither a monster nor a strange looking elf.

I have a good heart, isn’t that the purpose?

Why would I hurt others, and not after seeing what the Earth is?

Many friends have come and gone.

But, not at this age I don’t see where I went wrong.

I know my soul saves me from harm.

It’s like a magnet pulling my arm.

Now as I seat and remember those times.

I thank God every day as I listen to my inner chimes.

He is with me along with Angels.

I feel his kisses from the breeze in the air.

Sometimes I forget when I’m feeling despair.

I know I sound lonely but, that’s not the case.

Remember the true calling is hard to displace.

As people losing their hope and forget about the Earth.

So now I know my spirit says yes because fighting for peace and love.

Is what it’s truly worth.
