Halloween Poem

All Hollows Eve

by Miriam Perez

                            All Hollows Eve

The night was young and Werewolves howled at the crescent moon.

Vampires and witches fly into the night skies.

As the Sea monsters awaken in their lukewarm misty lagoon.

Shadows and ghosts follow screams of the night.

Where they haunt the children who celebrate with fright.

Oh, how the ghouls and goblins sneak by.

Halloween is the spirit of old.

Candy and treats spill on to the road.

Mad scientist and undead creatures alike.

Open the portals of spirits who were freed and ready to strike.

How odd are the dolls that dance with delight.

On this holiday isn’t just for fun.

It’s the day of the unknown mysteries, so please don’t run.

Jack-o-lanterns and the lights burn so brightly.

As the monsters gather, so  they aren't very tardy.

ReMember that they have lives too and they came to party.
