Meet Autumn! This aristocrat
embodies poise and elegance.
In winter I envision that
she'll be ensconced in southern France.

She has a style which few possess.
Appearing at a formal tea
in feathered cape, flamboyant dress,
she'll sashay in assuredly.

Much glossy make-up she applies.
She'll paint her lips a luscious red
and Halloween her hazel eyes
with black mascara thickly spread.

The Duchess loves accessories.
Chapeau and purse are oft festooned
with crimson apples, cranberries,
oak sprigs of acorns squirrel-pruned.

This lady's high-born and august,
yet so much fun to be around.
When Autumn comes as seasons must,
she'll mesmerize, keep us spellbound.
