A quick prayer
Lord, just a word.
by Terry Broxson
Lord, I just need a quick word. I got an email from a friend. I'm sad.
This lady needs a little help. I know You know all about her cause she has struggled with some health issues for forty years.
She's a fighter, and she doesn't give up. She tells anyone who will listen and many who won't that You're why she has been winning all those struggles.
Let me say thanks for all the help you gave her.
But here's the deal. It may be getting a little worse.
You know she has a big family and an even bigger extended family of friends who love her and depend on her zest for life.
She has friends all over the world on this writing site who enjoy and cherish her friendship.
Honestly, Lord, there are a couple of soreheads who don't like her winning a bunch of the contests. Lord, I know what You're thinking: tell 'em to write better. If I get a chance, I'll pass that along.
Lord, I am sure of one thing because I know the soreheads: they don't want her to suffer any more pain.
Lord, I won't mention any name because You know who I'm asking You to help.
AMEN.
