Personal pondering

Praying?

by Wayne Fowler

Praying for people to perform per prescribed principles

Platitudes and banalities positively banned from pleas

Painfully persisting as in persevering petitions

Pledging positive behavior: personal and public

Pleased by perquisites, plenteous and appreciated

Praising practices by benevolent potentate, but

Paled by perception of proven pomposity
