Rainbow Poem

Message From Above

She came in the morning sky
Rainbow colours, up on high
Peace from heaven, gone too soon
Not yet finished lifetime's tune
 
It filled our hearts to see that light
Thoughts of wonder and delight
To know she was looking down
Turned our sadness right around
 
God knew that it was her time
Heaven's stairs she had to climb
Arc of colour we did see
Message from her, "Yes, it's me."

Write a poem of any kind about a rainbow.


Two years ago, almost to the day, a young girl with special needs was struck by a car and killed instantly. The next morning a rainbow shone over her place of residence. She was looking down on us.
