Some Cents

by Jessica Wheeler

There's a place far from here

And it's just down the street

Where I grab a quick beer

when I'm ready to eat

So when time to have lunch

My last meal before bed

I will order a bunch

Of just one piece of bread

I just hop in my truck

And I walk to this place

But I never have luck

With a good parking space

Then it's right down the stairs

Way up on the third floor

And my table with chairs

Is a booth by the door

I eat there every day

At the most, once a week

So I really must say,

Nevermind, I don't speak

But I still dine and ditch

And it's not the expense

Cause I'm really quite rich

But I don't make no cents
