Time waits for no man...or woman
More Than Love

It was time for me to leave home, as previously did my brothers.
Mom wouldn’t be left alone. She had Anna, who would always remain ten.
A mother needs a reason to be a mother.
She caressed the antique stopwatch, singing the words,
“Grandfather’s watch
Caused a hole inside Time
Now she will always be mine!”
As I later discovered, daily she would repeat that chant and relish her forever role as an always mother.
Until the day her face collapsed and fell off.
For, in controlling and stopping one part of time, she had sped up Time upon herself.
