One day at a time. Always trying her hardest.

Her Silent Cries

No one listened to her silent cries. 
They all ignored her watering eyes. 
She reached out for help in her own way. 
But sadly, on her own, she did stay.  
 
She's a great actress, for that we know. 
She could smile, laugh and put on a show. 
They thought all was perfect and normal.  
Never knew her internal quarrel. 
 
They say you should share your emotions.
Each day she just went through the motions. 
Be strong, speak up and communicate. 
They never saw him manipulate. 
 
Was belittled, he didn't listen. 
Can’t have an opinion in prison. 
She really tried to make him  happy. 
But this is trauma she must carry.

Emotional abuse is worse than physical. I hope you enjoy even though its not a happy poem. I poured my heart into it. Thank you for reading.
