Beach Town

Winter In The Rockaways

The beach house in the wind 
It creaks and feels so old
I tuck my body in
The Rockaways so cold
The summer of parades
They're just a memory
The ocean and her maids
As I look out to sea
The empty hot dog stand
The seagulls soar above
The boardwalk and the sand
They linger on with love
